What I mean is I don't understand why people don't see right through their acts. While I don't have a problem with Obama, I just fail to see what makes him so special.

He's black. He made a speech at the convention. Whoop-de-doo. Illinois' other Senator, Dick Durbin, has been a much louder voice for progressive causes.

As for McCain, I think the problem is the media's constant fawning over him. What exactly makes this guy so special? He's nothing but an empty bag of rhetoric with ambitions of higher office, like most politicians. Seriously, he may be the only Senator who can give Joe Biden a run for his money when it comes to being an attention-seeking blowhard. Tell you what-- if God really hates me (though thanks for saying otherwise above :-D), he'll have the 2008 election come down to Biden vs. McCain. Thus, my two choices would become slitting my wrists vs. jumping off a tall building. I think I'm leaning towards the building.

But I digress... What was my point in the first place?

To your previous entry- McCain and Obama are both ...

To your previous entry- McCain and Obama are both popular because they get a lot of national attention. McCain because he's considered a 'maverick', Obama because of his interesting background and hence, phenom status. The people in their states like seeing their senators in the news. I like Obama too, but proudly voted against McCain.

Today's Boston Globe (3/3) shows Healey now in favor of gay adoption, or at least not prohibiting it. She's putting the liberal mask on alright.

Something like 8 Catholic members of the Board that runs the charity have resigned over the decision. Some of us have a conscience. Even the Herald agrees that gay adoption should continue.

But on other issues, like I mentioned, the Church is correct, and this should be noted: pro-immigration, anti-death penalty, anti-war, pro-evolution. Like I say, don't run from an "enemy" if they're on your side.

And to the evangelicals....Catholics have always believed that Jews can go to heaven.....even good Atheists can Joe : )

Lol

Yay to Bush's poll numbers; Boo to the Patriot Act.

Bout sums up the days news methinks.
